Well I’m finally starting to feel moved in to the new house and I have a day off from work which obviously means it’s time to try out a new craft! I need a new duvet for my bed and decided to switch it up and try making my own quilt. Really excited to see how this first attempt at quilting goes! Wish me luck!!!
So I’ve started a new job at Michael’s and I’ve already discovered I should not be allowed to stock yarn because I can’t resist the urge to buy it when my shift is over! I’m not even much of a knitter but my mom is, so I’m sure she will turn it into something beautiful if I ask nicely 🥰🧶
My dad and I each had the bright idea to try making orangecello for the first time. Although, as you can tell, in very different ways! I’m really excited to see how they both turn out.
Happy New Year! I hope the holiday season has been at least somewhat enjoyable for you all. I've been lucky enough to spend it with my parents safely and thought I'd share something I made for them for Christmas this year. In early December I found these really cute patterns for felt ornaments on Etsy from @betz_white. Naturally I spent the next few weeks crafting away and I'm really proud of the end result! One of the best recipes of my mom's is her cherry pie and my dad has always loved Christmas cactuses so it seemed fitting to add these to their ornament collection.
I swear I’ve been craving matzo ball soup for weeks! It’s finally cooling off in NC (right as I’m leaving ofc) so I figured it would make a nice last meal at my parents’ new house. I also took advantage of my mom’s copious herb garden if you can’t tell! 🌿😄🌿
Persephone has returned to the underworld which means I’m in a pomegranate kind of mood. These rosemary doughnuts with a pomegranate glaze (and cinnamon sugar doughnut holes!) make a perfect Saturday morning breakfast in the fall. 🍁🍂🍁
I absolutely love beets so it should come as no surprise that for my first attempt at homemade pasta I made beet ravioli! They tasted great and making the pasta itself was actually really relaxing. Now I'm thinking I might have to add a pasta machine to my Christmas list!
Having a lot of fun playing with my new loom #weaving #goodvibes
Just because Halloween is cancelled this year doesn’t mean I can’t still have fun working on new costumes 👻 #WIP
